Terms & Conditions of Booking

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“the Client”) and Elevated Tanzania Safaris Limited, a registered Tour Operator in the United Republic of Tanzania. By booking with us, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms herein.

Section 1

Introduction & Acceptance

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("the Client") and Elevated Tanzania Safaris Limited, a registered Tour Operator in the United Republic of Tanzania. By booking a safari, tour, or any related service ("the Tour") with us, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms, conditions, and policies outlined herein.

Booking & Contract

A

Booking Process

A booking is considered confirmed once Elevated Tanzania Safaris receives a completed booking form and a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the total Tour cost. The booking form must be signed by the lead client on behalf of all persons named.

Contract Formation

Upon receipt of your deposit and booking form, we will issue a confirmation invoice. A contract is formed between us from the date we issue this invoice.

C

Client Details

It is the Client's responsibility to ensure all provided details (full names as per passport, dates of birth, dietary requirements, medical conditions, etc.) are accurate. Elevated Tanzania Safaris cannot be held liable for any errors or omissions.

Section 3

Payments & Pricing

ADeposit

A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and initiate logistical arrangements.

BFinal Payment

The outstanding balance must be paid in full no later than 60 days before the Tour's commencement. Bookings made within 60 days require full payment immediately.

CPayment Methods

Payments can be made via international bank transfer (SWIFT) or other agreed-upon methods. All bank charges are the responsibility of the Client.

DPricing

All prices are quoted in US Dollars ($). We reserve the right to amend prices due to exchange rate fluctuations, park fee increases, or fuel cost changes. You will be notified before any surcharge is applied.

Cancellations & Amendments by Client

All cancellations must be received in writing by the lead Client.

Please note: A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking and is forfeited upon any cancellation, covering administrative and reservation costs.

Amendment Policy

While we will endeavour to accommodate changes, any amendment after confirmation (change of dates, itinerary, number of guests) may incur an administrative fee of $100 per change, plus any costs imposed by suppliers. Amendments are subject to availability.

Section 5

Changes & Cancellations by Elevated Tanzania Safaris

A

Itinerary as an Outline

The proposed itinerary is a guide to be followed as closely as possible. As a specialist in wild and remote destinations, we must retain flexibility due to weather, road conditions, animal movements, national park regulations, and flight schedule changes. We reserve the right to modify routing or accommodation for the safety and benefit of Clients.

Major Changes

In the unlikely event of a significant change before departure, we will inform you immediately. You may accept the change, accept an alternative Tour of comparable standard, or receive a full refund.

C

Force Majeure

Elevated Tanzania Safaris shall not be liable for any delay or failure due to Force Majeure — including acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, natural disasters, fire, epidemic/pandemic, or any event beyond our reasonable control.

Force Majeure events are rare but real in remote safari destinations. We always act in the best interests of our Clients and communicate proactively when such events occur.
Section 6

Client Responsibilities & Health

ATravel InsuranceRequired

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory. It must cover emergency medical evacuation, repatriation, cancellation, curtailment, and all activities undertaken. Proof required before Tour commences.

BHealth & Fitness

Ensure you are medically fit and sufficiently mobile. Consult your physician regarding vaccinations and malaria prophylactics. Disclose any pre-existing conditions at time of booking.

CPassports & Visas

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay. You are responsible for obtaining all required visas for Tanzania and transit countries.

DConduct

Act respectfully toward local cultures, customs, and laws. Always follow your guide's instructions. We reserve the right to terminate the Tour of any Client endangering others, without refund.

Section 7

Limitations of Liability

  • 1Elevated Tanzania Safaris acts as an intermediary and agent for suppliers (lodges, camps, airlines, etc.) and shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or irregularity due to the acts or omissions of these third-party suppliers.
  • 2Participation in a safari involves inherent risks, including encounters with wildlife, travel in remote areas, and unpredictable road conditions. By booking this Tour, the Client voluntarily assumes all such risks.
  • 3To the fullest extent permitted by law, the maximum liability of Elevated Tanzania Safaris shall be limited to the total cost of the Tour paid by the Client.
Section 8

Privacy Policy

Elevated Tanzania Safaris is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect personal information solely to process your booking and enhance your experience. We will not sell or rent your information to third parties. We may use images from your Tour for promotional purposes unless you expressly withdraw consent in writing.

Section 9

Complaints

In the unlikely event of a complaint, the Client must immediately bring it to the attention of the Elevated Tanzania Safaris guide and/or our office so that we may endeavour to rectify the situation. If the issue remains unresolved, a formal complaint must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the Tour's completion.

Section 10

Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Any disputes arising shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Tanzania.

Section 11

Agreement

This document represents the entire agreement between the Client and Elevated Tanzania Safaris Limited and supersedes all prior communications, representations, or agreements, whether oral or written.

By proceeding with your booking, you signify your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions on behalf of all people included in your booking.
